Loaders Kit
Cost £92.00 plus £6.50 P&P
The Field Kit+ is the Field Kit and a Cartridge Collector combined. It has an extremely strong magnet on the end and will pickup all of your spent cartridges in seconds. The magnet is so strong it will even pickup up to 8 un-fired cartridges at a time as the pictures below show. You can even hang it from the ceiling as the pictures below demonstrate. It is fully adjustable in length to. It comprises of an ergonomic aluminium handle which is designed to fit snugly into a plastic tube. 2 short tubes both with plastic end caps to keep the dirt contained, 1 plastic bush, 2 material covered rods and a specially designed extra long brush for optimal cleaning of the barrels with minimum effort, 1 easy to remove flexible plastic end cap, 1 short section of clear plastic tubing and one very strong magnet. The brush and the 2 material covered rods are classed as consumable parts and are replaceable items. The handle has a push fit plastic bush on the end which protects the gun parts from the aluminium handle. The rods are 100% covered by material so that no metal parts can come into contact with the gun being cleaned. The brush has a unique plastic cap which is designed to stop metal contacting the gun and also enable semi-auto shotguns to be cleaned fully assembled without damaging the bolt face.
You can make the Cartridge Collector longer by re-positioning the two tubes relative to each other using the velcro please see picture below. I would recommend using at least half of the tubes in contact with each other for a firm hold.
How to Use
Full instructions and demonstration videos are shown below and on the front page.
How to assemble the Field kit+ without getting dirty.
The design principle is still the same, i don't want people to get dirty when using Magic Bore kits and that's the same with the Field kit even though you have to assemble it before you can use it!
First remove the flexible end cap for the longer of the 2 tubes. Next remove the short section of clear plastic tubing from inside the flexible cap. Now remove the handle section complete with the first rod already attached, from the second tube. Next with the second rod still inside the long tube screw the first rod and handle onto the second rod only touching the handle. When the bottom rods starts turning with the handle pull it out of the tube about 2" and using the small section of clear plastic tube hold wrap this around the top of the second rod being careful to only touch the plastic tubing. Now you can finish tightening the joint between the two rods. Fully remove the second rod which already has the brush already attached and you're ready to use it. Disassemble in reverse.
How to use
Using one square of decent quality toilet paper, so it wont break up around the brush, fold it into 4 and push it into the breach to create a cup. Take the Magic Bore Bore cleaner and lift the flip top lid. Tip the bottle over the toilet tissue and place 3 or 4 drops onto the tissue. This will saturate the tissue and ensure that the whole barrel is coated all of the way down. A spray won't do this. It is died blue so that you can see if you have saturated the tissue and if you spill any so you can wipe it off any surface that it comes into contact with. Remove the Hand Kit from its tube and place the plastic tip on the end of the brush, in the centre of the tissue and push it through the barrel with the hand kit. If you do this over a bin the tissue will drop into the bin and does not need to be handled so you will stay clean. This is an optional stage but will prolong the life of both the brush and the material covered rods.
Next pull the Field Kit in and out of the barrel several times to remove the rest of the debris. If you do this fast enough it is possible to remove the plastic fouling. Make sure that the brush leaves the end of the barrels completely so that it can relax before reversing its direction this will prevent the brush deforming and prolong its life. Repeat this for the other barrel if using a double barrelled gun. For improved plastic fouling removal hold the barrels at the muzzle end and insert the cleaning tool from this end first. This means that the brush is in the right area to remove the plastic residue. Now repeat the back or forth movements rapidly until all traces have been removed. Replace the hand kit in its tube. This clean is perfect for a quick clean or when you are shooting in the field or at a clay ground. If you are not able to remove all of the plastic fouling this way then use the drill kit as per the instructions on the drill kit page.
Cleaning Chokes
You can clean your removable chokes in the same way. Every part is interchangeable between the two kits so you can attach the brush directly to the handle or have one rod and the brush and clean your chokes in your preferred way. I use one rod and the Hand Kit brush attached to the handle. Holding the choke in one hand and the handle in the other pull the choke tube up and down the brush and onto the material covered rod. If there is any plastic fouling use the drill kit in the same way. This will clean all of your chokes very quickly.
DO NOT:
- use other any other components other than official Magic Bore® supplied parts. There is no guarantee that those parts will work with the kit.
- use any rods where the material has come unattached The rod needs to be fully covered to protect guns from metal contact. If this happens order a replacement.
- use the Hand Kit if the plastic bush on the handle is missing or damaged.

Magic Bore® only uses the best quality components and parts available. There have been hundreds of hours put into research, design, testing and manufacture to arrive at the product you see now. The ergonomic handle is solid aluminium and designed to last a lifetime. It is comfortable to hold and a pleasure to use. The plastic bush on the end is designed to protect your gun and to last. The plastic tube and end cap are designed to last and to keep you and its surroundings clean. The rods are solid aluminium and are split into two to keep the cost of consumables down. Initial Loaders Kit cost is: £90.00 and the consumable parts should last about a year before they need to be replaced. The consumable parts for the hand kit are two rods and a brush total cost £40.00 per annum. This is cheaper than buying other cleaning tools and having to replace them annually.
The material covered rods are compatible with cleaning fluids, solvents and oils. No other mops are made to this specification, They are made from the best cleaning material available on the market today and use the highest specification adhesive to attach them to the solid aluminium rods. They are also washable.
The brushes are custom designed to Magic Bore specifications and are only available on Magic Bore® Kits. They are of the highest quality and will not work with any other kit. They are extra-long and designed to work in conjunction with the material covered rods to remove all types of fouling including new bitumen fibre wad residue, fast. No other kit will do this let alone in under a minute! It is also the only kit that will remove plastic fouling also in under a minute.
All of the Magic Bore® Cleaning Kits enable you to remain completely clean at all times whilst cleaning your guns. No other kit or product does this. Magic Bore® kits are the only kits that have clever design features that protect your gun. Magic Bore® kits are the only kits that use brushes as well as a micro fibre mop let alone the best of every component available. They are also the only kits designed to last a lifetime and they are the only product that cleans the insides of barrels properly in under 2 minutes time after time.
Other bore mops do not last, are cheaply made and you cannot use any cleaning oils or solvents with them. They are uncomfortable to use and not the same quality. You will get dirty using them and everything they touch will get dirty. They will not clean your gun properly and they will not last so you will need to keep replacing them.
Modulus cleaning kits are a pain to use. You have to keep changing jags, brushes and mops and you get filthy doing so. They are not ergonomically designed and are uncomfortable to hold and use.
The Field Kit+ costs less than 2 mediocre Pheasants or less than 250 cartridges. The Drill Kit costs the same as one decent pheasant or less than 200 cartridges. The amount of time that you will save yourself cleaning your gun is up to 25 minutes each time and over 2 hours each time if you have a DT11. The real question is how much do you value your time and do you want to make cleaning your gun a pleasure not a pain? Your gun is also an asset and an investment and you should take care of it. Using Magic Bore Cleaning Kits will ensure your barrels are in as good a condition inside as the day you started using them.
